Everest 4WD helps you tackle any surface, on-road or off, at the turn of a dial. Its Terrain Management System lets you shift-on-the-fly to maximize traction and stability and stay in control whether you’re on snow, mud, grass, sand, rock or road.

Available on 4WD models only. The driver is responsible for assessing off-road situations, determining if the terrain is passable and using appropriate off-road driving techniques.

Payload is defined as the Gross Vehicle Mass minus the kerb mass and is subject to State and Territory regulations. Payload is the maximum combined value of occupants, cargo, added options, added structures and tow ball download (when towing). GVM must not be exceeded. 3,100kg is the maximum towing capacity for the 2.0L Bi-Turbo engine, using a Genuine Ford tow pack. Subject to State and Territory regulations. To comply with these limits, occupants and / or luggage may need to be restricted. SYNC®3 is a fully integrated, voice activation system that lets you use your favourite devices while your hands stay on the wheel and your eyes stay on the road. Sync your phone to call your friends and play your favourite music, and stay on track with the integrated Satellite Navigation System. Seamless integration via programs like Applink®, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto allow you choice on how to remain connected to your world. Equipped with a customisable 8” Colour LCD capacitive Touch Screen; SYNC®3 is quicker and more responsive than ever before.

Not all SYNC®3 features are compatible with all phones. Ford AppLink® is available on selected SYNC® models and is compatible with select smartphone platforms. Users must download an AppLink-enabled app from the usual store to your iOS or Android smartphone. Requires phone to be connected to SYNC® 3 with a genuine USB cable (Apple devices) or Bluetooth® (Android devices). Apple CarPlay/Android Auto requires phone with compatible version of Apple iOS/AndroidTM (as applicable), active data service and connection cable (sold separately). SYNC® does not control Apple CarPlay/Android Auto while in use. Apple/Google and other third parties are responsible for their respective functions. Need help getting the perfect park? At the press of a button, Active Park Assist not only helps you find the right size parking spot, it steers itself in. Simply take your hands off the wheel and watch as it parks perfectly. All you have to do is control the gears, accelerator and brake.

Sometimes it can be easy to drift into the next lane without realising it. If your indicator isn’t on and you start drifting from the center of the lane, the Lane Keeping System can help guide the vehicle back through gentle steering torque. If you keep drifting, Lane Departure Warning emits a warning vibration through the steering wheel.

Adaptive Cruise Control with Collision Warning

Forget about having to turn your cruise control on and off as traffic changes. Instead, the Adaptive Cruise Control can adjust accordingly. If it senses slow moving traffic, it slows down. When the traffic clears, it goes back to your pre-set speed. It can even detect the potential for an accident to occur, alert you with a brake light warning on your windscreen, and pre-charge your brakes.

No more rummaging for your keys, handsfree power tailgate makes access to your Everest load compartment easy, even when your hands are full. Kick your foot under the rear bumper and the hands-free power tailgate opens and closes automatically.

BLIS® with Cross-Traffic Alert

Everest’s Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®) helps monitor the traffic you can’t see. When changing lanes, indicator lights in your side mirrors let you know if there’s a vehicle in your blind spot. It also alerts you if it senses traffic coming from either direction when you’re reversing out of a parking spot or driveway.

Negotiating tough slopes in Everest 4WD is simple. Hill Descent Control uses the brake system to take you downhill at a safe and steady pace. Take hold of the steering wheel and the Everest takes care of the rest. On an incline, Hill Launch Assist assures you have a smooth start. Take your foot off the brake and the system holds the brake for a few seconds. Step on the accelerator, and you’re off.

Electronic locking rear differential
